In Alturitas, we asked for many blessings for the sponsors, and we gave thanks for them, for the food, and for God to supply all needs. The kids reviewed the Alturitas rules in English. Afterwards, we played running to the left and the right, and we stretched.
We ate “gallo pinto” for breakfast that all the kids really liked a lot. We went with the kids to the street in front of the building, and we drew with chalk figures, flowers and hearts to beautify the street, and we also played hopscotch.
In English class, the kids learned with Amy several words with “b” in English like: boot, bird, blue, boat, book, etc. by mime and pronunciation.
In arts and crafts time, we decorated a drawing of Abraham with pieces of cloth, and also the kids decorated a crown with many stars to remember that Abraham’s family would be like the stars.
In Bible class, we saw a film about Abraham’s generosity with his nephew, Lot that is found in Genesis 13:1-18. The kids learned that the Bible is the best book in the world because the best stories to learn about how to behave correctly and to please God are found in the Bible.
We explained that Abraham was a special and generous man, and God chose him to have a very big family that would be like the sand and also the stars in the heavens because God promised it to him. One day Abraham saw that he and his nephew had to take different paths because they had a lot of animals, and they were already fighting over the land.
So Abraham decided that they should separate to resolve this problem and so that there would not be any fights among themselves. Abraham was very generous, and told Lot that he should choose whichever place he wanted to go with his family.
Lot was selfish and God did not like that attitude. However, God blessed Abraham much more than what he could understand.
They learned that it is important to be generous and help their families. We gave candy to the kids as an example of being generous with the kids.

En Alturitas, pedimos muchas bendiciones para los padrinos y dimos gracias por ellos, por los alimentos y para que Dios supla toda necesidad.
Los niños repasaron las reglas de Alturitas en inglés. Después, jugamos corriendo a la derecha y a la izquierda y nos estiramos.
Desayunamos un rico “gallo pinto” que les gustó mucho a todos los chicos.
Nos fuimos con los niños a la calle frente el edificio y dibujamos con tiza figuras, flores y corazones para embellecer la calle y también jugamos rayuela.
En la clase de inglés, los niños aprendieron con Amy varias palabras con “b”en Inglés como : bota, ave, azul, barco, libro, etc. por medio de mímica y pronunciación.
En el tiempo de manualidades, decoraron un dibujo de Abraham con pedazos de tela, y también los niños decoraron una corona con muchas estrellas para recordar que la familia de Abraham sería como las estrellas.
En la clase bíblica, vimos una película sobre la generosidad de Abraham con su sobrino, Lot que se encuentra en Genesis 13.1-18.
Los niños aprendieron que la Biblia es el mejor libro del mundo porque se encuentran las mejores historias para aprender sobre cómo comportarse correctamente para agradar a Dios se encuentran en la Biblia.
Explicamos que Abraham era un hombre muy especial y generoso, y que Dios lo eligió para tener una familia muy grande que sería como la arena del mar o también como las estrellas del cielo porque Dios se lo había prometido. Un día Abraham vio que él y su sobrino Lot, deberían tomar rumbos diferentes, porque ellos tenían muchos animales y ya se estaban peleando las tierras.
Así que Abraham decidió que debían de separarse para resolver este problema y para que no hubieran pleitos entre ellos. Abraham fue muy generoso y le dijo a Lot para que él escogiera a cual lugar quería ir con su familia.
Lot fue egoísta y Dios no le agradó esa actitud. Sin embargo, Dios bendijo a Abraham mucho más de lo que el podría imaginar.
Aprendieron que es importante ser una persona generosa y ayudar a su familia.
Dimos confites con los niños como parte de ser generosos con los niños.
