All the kids arrived happily because they knew that today was the Christmas party. We prayed for and thanked God for our sponsors and for the Alturas kids.
In the arts and crafts activity, the kids made Christmas cards.
In Bible class, we talked about Galatians 6:7: “whatever a man sows, he reaps.”
We explained that the kids had sowed either bad or good grades. He who sowed good grades and passed, earned their Christmas presents. Those kids who sowed bad grades and did not pass, did not earn their presents and would have to wait for their Christmas presents until February. We also said that God gives us second chances, but He wants us to improve.
Afterwards, the kids rejoiced while eating fried chicken and opening their gifts of toys and clothes. Also, we gave them bags with the typical Costa Rican gift of grapes and apples, and we threw a lot of candy in the air, and the candy pieces fell as if they were coming out of a broken piñata of candy, and the kids ran to pick up the candy.

Todos los niños llegaron felices porque sabían que hoy era la fiesta de Navidad.
Oramos y agradecimos a Dios por nuestros padrinos y por los niños de Alturas.
En la actividad de manualidades, los niños hicieron cartas de Navidad.
En la clase de Biblia, hablamos de Galatas 6:7: “lo que el hombre sembraré, eso también segara’.” Explicamos que los niños que sembraron buenas notas y pasaron, ganaron sus regalos de Navidad. Los niños que sembraron malas notas y no pasaron, no ganaron sus regalos de Navidad y tendrían que esperar hasta febrero. Hablamos de que Dios nos da segundas oportunidades pero El quiere que mejoremos.
Después, los niños se gozaron mientras estaban comiendo pizza y abriendo sus regalos de juguetes y ropa. También, le dimos una bolsa con el regalo típico costarricense de uvas y manzanas y tiramos al aire muchos confites y los confites caeron como si estuvieran saliendo de una piñata rota de confites y los niños corrían para recoger los confites.
Agradecemos a todos nuestros padrinos por dar tanto a Alturas y ayudar a cambiar las vidas de los niños al conocer a Jesús.
