Today, we gave thanks to God because today is Mother’s Day in Costa Rica. We reminded the kids that without our mothers, we would not be here. Also, we blessed our sponsors because they are a blessing for our kids. Later, we did an arts and crafts activity for the moms, and the kids enjoyed cutting out shapes and putting each piece on the cards. They made drawings on the cards to show their love for their moms. Afterwards, we played and also sang to “Baby Shark,” because they like it a lot, and that way they pronounce words in English like baby, mommy, daddy, grandpa, and grandma, etc. Afterwards, in the Bible lesson, we talked about Maria being chosen as the mother who would give birth to Jesus. We talked about that one of the reasons that God chose her was due to her obedience to God and her purity because she kept herself pure before marriage. We should be obedient, and keep our purity before marriage because we were chosen by God to be on the earth for His purpose.

Hoy dimos gracias a Dios porque hoy es el día de la madre en Costa Rica. Recordamos a los niños que sin nuestras madres, no estaríamos aquí. También, bendecimos a los padrinos porque ellos son una bendición para nuestros niños. Después, nos hicimos una manualidad para las mamás y los niños disfrutaron al recortar y pegar cada pieza en las tarjetas. Hicieron dibujos en las tarjetas para demostrar su amor para sus mamás. Luego, jugamos y también cantamos “Baby Shark” porque les gusta mucho y de esa manera pronuncian palabras en inglés como baby, mommy, daddy, grandpa y grandma, etc. Luego, en la lección bíblica, hablamos de que María había sido escogida como la madre que daría luz a Jesús. Hablamos de que una de las razones porque Dios la escogió fue por su obediencia a Dios y su pureza al guardarse antes de casarse.
Así nosotros debemos de ser obedientes y guardarnos en pureza antes del matrimonio porque fuimos escogidas por Dios para que estuviéramos en la tierra para Su propósito.
