We gave thanks to God for the opportunity to be in this place. We prayed for our sponsors also.  The kids competed in games. 

In English class, we saw the helping verbs do, does, and did. We also talked about the use of this, that, these, and those. Afterwards, in Math class, we practiced fractions, divisions and equations. 

In the Bible lesson, we continued with David’s story. David could have killed the king, but he said that he would never touch God’s Anointed one because he was a man who knew how to obey and respect authority. We also must be subject to our authorities like parents, teachers, and policemen, since the Word of God teaches us to obey all authority. Afterwards, we celebrated birthdays and also practiced the choreography for the Kid’s Church.

Dimos gracias a Dios por la oportunidad  de estar en este lugar. Oramos por nuestros padrinos también.  Los niños hicieron juegos de competencia.

En la clase de inglés, vimos los verbos auxiliares do, does, and did. También, hablamos del uso de this, that, these, and those. Luego, en la clase de matemáticas, practicamos fracciones, divisiones y ecuaciones. 

En la lección bíblica,  seguimos con la historia de David. David podría haber matado al rey pero David dijo que jamás tocaría al ungido de Dios porque era un hombre que sabía obedecer y respetar la autoridad.

Nosotros también debemos de estar sujetos a nuestras autoridades como los padres, maestros y policías, ya que la Palabra de Dios nos manda a obedecer a toda autoridad. Luego, celebramos los cumpleaños y también practicamos la coreografía para la red de niños.

We prayed for our director who came back to Costa Rica, and we blessed the sponsors, and we thanked God for the food. We went to play outside awhile. Afterwards, we played inside with the hula hulas. One by one, the kids had to pass through the hula hula. 

The Bible lesson dealt with Elijah and the widow of Zarephath. Her faith was tested because he had nothing to eat- he only had a little of oil and flour. However, she complained to the prophet because she had helped the prophet, but her son died. Elijah called out to God, and the widow  witnessed a miracle- her son was revived. Afterwards, she never lacked oil or flour again because God supplied her needs because she was obedient. Psalm 23 says that we will not lack anything. 

For arts and crafts, we made a cup symbolizing that God will always fill our cup. 

In English class, we drew a geometric doll,  and we colored the figures according to the sum that they got because the sheet had different colors assigned to different sums. 

In Math class, we reviewed addition, and they are learning to count with their fingers and write down the the results. Later, we celebrated the birthdays with a delicious cake.

Oramos por nuestra directora quien regreso’ a Costa Rica y bendecimos a los padrinos y dimos gracias a Dios por los alimentos. Fuimos a jugar afuera un ratito. Después, jugamos adentro con las ula ula. Uno por uno, los chicos tenían que pasar por la ula ula. 

La lección bíblica trato’ de Elías y la viuda de Sarepta. Fue probado la fe de la viuda porque no tenía nada que comer- solo tenía un poco de aceite y harina. Sin embargo, ella reclamó al profeta porque ella había ayudado al profeta pero su hijo murió. Elias clamó a Dios y la viuda presenció un milagro- su hijo revivió. Luego, a ella nunca le faltó ni el aceite ni la harina más porque Dios siempre suplió su necesidad por ser obediente. Salmo 23 dice que nada nos va a faltar. Para la manualidad, confeccionamos un vaso simbolizando que Dios siempre nos llenará nuestro vaso.

En la clase de inglés, pintamos una muñeca y pintamos las figuras según el resultado que tuvieron porque la hoja tenía colores diferentes asignados a diferentes sumas. 

En la clase de matemáticas, repasamos sumas y ellos están aprendiendo a contar con los dedos y poner los resultados. Luego, celebramos los cumpleaños con un delicioso queque.

We prayed as always for the food and gave thanks for the blessing of having our sponsors, who continue to bless us. We began with games to get out energy, and they played games with cups and inside of the cups were different colors and he who got to the color that was asked for first the fastest won. The other game was to throw a colored box to advance and afterwards, stop and inflate a balloon. Later, they played by putting a cookie on their foreheads and tried to not let it fall so they could eat it; it was fun. Then, some of the kids practiced for a presentation called “God never fails.”

In English class, Manuel had the big kids practicing with What, Where, Why, and Whose while the little kids answered Damaris’ questions like what is your name, where do you live, and how old are you. Afterwards, in free time, the little ones played with Play Doh, the big boys played football, and the big girls talked. 

In the Bible lesson, we divided the kids into two groups, and the big ones listened to Jessica and the little ones listened to Damaris. The Bible lesson was from 1 Samuel 18:1-30 that talks about when David ran away from Saul because Saul was envious of David and tried to kill him with a spear. Today, we don’t use spears to try to kill a person; we use our tongues when we talk bad about people without caring how others feel. Also, we said that we should not be envious because God blesses all of us a lot each day.

Oramos como siempre por los alimentos y damos gracias a Dios por la bendición de tener a nuestros padrinos, quienes nos sigan bendiciendo. 

Empezamos con los juegos para sacar energía y se hicieron juegos con vasos y dentro ellos había colores diferentes y el que llegaba más rápido al vaso del color solicitado ganaba. El otro juego era tirar una caja de color para avanzar y después, parar e inflar un globo. Después,  ellos jugaron con poner una galleta en la frente y tratar de no dejarlo caer para después comer la galleta; fue muy divertido.

Luego, algunos chicos ensayaron una coreografia para una presentación que se llama “Dios nunca falla.”

En la clase de inglés, Manuel les puso a los grandes a practicar al hacerles preguntas con What, Where, Why, and Whose mientras que los pequeños contestaban a Damaris preguntas como   cual es su nombre, donde vive y cuantos años tiene.  Después, en tiempo de recreo, los pequeños jugaron en sus mesas con plasticina y los chicos  grandes jugaron fútbol y las chicas grandes conversaron.

En la lección bíblica, dividimos a los chicos en dos grupos y los grandes escucharon a Jessica y los pequeños escucharon a Damaris. La lección bíblica era de 1 Samuel 18:1-30 que habla de cuando David huyo’ de Saúl porque Saúl tenía envidia de David  y intentó matarlo con una lanza.

Hoy en día no usamos una lanza para tratar de matar, sino lo que usamos es nuestra lengua con hablar mal de las personas sin importarnos lo que las personas sientan. También, hablamos de que no debemos tener envidia porque Dios nos bendice a todos mucho cada día.
