Como todos los años, al principio del año, tomamos dos sábados para poder ir a compartir con las familias de nuestros niños para conocerlos un poco más y saber que necesidades tienen. Vemos el estado de sus ranchos y nos impacta. Hablamos con ellos sobre el progreso y el comportamiento de los chicos. Nos da alegria y a la vez, tristeza llegar a sus ranchos, después de caminar por caminos de tierra y puentes sin terminar. La mejor recompensa que tenemos cuando terminamos estas visitas es ver a sus caritas llenas de alegria cuando nos ven llegar a visitarles.

As we do every year, at the beginning of the year, we take two Saturdays, to be able to share with the families of our kids so that we can get to know them better and know what needs that they have. We see the state that their shanties are in, and it impacts us. We talk with them about the kids’ progress and about their behavior. It makes us happy, but also sad, to go to their shanties, after walking on dirt trails and unfinished bridges. The best reward that we have, when we finish these visits, is seeing their faces full of happiness when we go to visit them.
