Today we practiced questions like: How are you? What is your name? Where do you live? among others. In addition, we learned some names of fruit.

In the Bible lesson, we saw a movie about Hagar and Ishmael. The objective was to show the kids that God never leaves children.

We did arts and crafts activities to improve our small motor skills.

Hoy practicamos preguntas para que ellos contestaran como: Como estas?; Cuál es tu nombre?; Donde vives?; entre otros. Ademas vimos algunos nombres de frutas.

En la lección biblica vimos una película acerca de Agar e Ismael. El objetivo era mostrarles a los niños que Dios nunca deja a los niños.

Hicimos actividades manuales para mejorarles la motora fina.

Today, the children identified drawings in English class. They learned about the weather by making a clock with the words: sunny, cloudy, rainy, and windy to describe the weather that we indicated.
The Bible lesson was about David and Goliath. We talked about the confidence in God that David had when he conquered Goliath. We told the kids that God honors our trust in Him, and He will give us the victory like He did for David.

Hoy los niños reconocieron dibujos en la clase de inglés. Ellos aprendieron acerca del tiempo al hacer como un reloj con las palabras: soleado, nublado, lluvioso y ventoso para describir el tiempo que les indicamos.
La lección bíblica fue acerca de David y Goliat. Hablamos de la confianza en Dios que tuvo David cuando venció a Goliat. Les dijimos a los niños que Dios honra nuestra confianza en El y nos dará la victoria como lo hizo con David.

Today, we learned the days of the week and the greetings of good morning, good afternoon, and good evening/good night. We taught dental hygiene and the best form of brushing their teeth. 

In the Bible lesson, we talked about Abraham and Isaac and how Abraham was a friend of God received his son Isaac. We complemented the lesson with arts and crafts.

Hoy aprendimos los días de la semana y los saludos buenos días, buenas tardes y buenas noches. Les enseñamos el cuidado de los dientes y la mejor forma de cepillarse los dientes.

En la lección biblica, hablamos sobre de Abraham e Isaac, y como Abraham era amigo de Dios y recibió a su hijo Isaac.

Les reforzamos la lección con una manualidad.

Today, we worked in the English class with the use of contractions and combinations of words. The little kids worked with Teacher Damaris. She reviewed the song of the days of the week.

In the Bible lesson, we talked about the Tower of Babel, and how the ego of the human being wants to be greater than God. This made God mad and caused the separation of the different languages.

We celebrated the birthdays of the month of February.

Hoy, trabajamos en las clases de ingles del uso de contracciones con apostrofes y combinaciones de palabras. Los pequeños trabajaron con la Profesora Damaris los días de la semana con una canción que aprendieron.

En la clase bíblica, hablamos sobre la Torre de Babel y como el ego de ser humano quiere ser mas grande que Dios. Esto hizo que Dios se molestara y separara  a los hombres en diferentes lenguas.

Celebramos el cumpleaños del mes del febrero.

Today, we celebrated the day of love and friendship. We drew hearts to make cards to give to their friends. 

In English, we learned the members of the family and the numbers to 10. 

In addition, in the Bible class, we learned about the Tower of Babel and what happens when man wants to be greater than God.

Hoy celebramos el día del amor y la amistad. Dibujamos corazones en forma de tarjeta para entregarlos a nuestros amigos.

En inglés, aprendimos los miembros de la familia y los números hasta el 10.

Además en la clase bíblica, hablamos de la torre Babel y que es lo que pasa cuando el hombre quiere ser mas grande que Dios.

We started the year learning greetings in English. We drew and stuck the greetings that we learned to the board.

The Bible lesson was about Cain and Abel.  They learned that a lie only brings negative consequences. 

Teacher Damaris handed out the uniforms to start the school year with everything that we needed.

Iniciamos el año aprendiendo los saludos en ingles. Pintamos y pegamos a la pizarra los saludos que aprendimos.

La lección bíblica se trató de Cain y Abel. Ellos aprendieron que la mentira solo trae consecuencias negativas. 

La profesora Damaris nos entregó los uniformes para iniciar el curso lectivo con todo lo que ocupamos.

Today we started off the school year. We are so thankful to our sponsors for all of the school supplies and uniforms that they bought. It is so beautiful to see God’s love manifested so abundantly. Watching kids smile is the best thing in the world! Thank you sponsors for making our Alturas kids smile and helping them to be equipped with the materials that they need for this school year!
