In English class, we reviewed the Alturas  rules because the kids have to memorize them. Also, we reviewed colors, numbers, and we told them what to say when we say: “What is your name?” and they responded with their names. 

In the Bible lesson, we talked about how the angel presented himself to Mary, and told her that she was chosen to be Jesus’ mother. 

Afterwards, we made paper balls to announce that soon Christmas was coming.

En la clase de inglés, repasamos las reglas de Alturas, ya que los niños tienen que memorizarlas. También, repasamos los colores y números y les dijimos que’ deben decir cuando le decimos: “What is your name?” y ellos respondieron con su nombre. 

En la lección bíblica, hablamos acerca de como se le presento’ el angel a María y le dijo que fue escogida para ser la madre de Jesús. 

Después, confeccionamos bolitas de papel para anunciar que pronto iba a venir la navidad.

Today, we talked about how to reuse recycled things like bottles and bottle caps. They made a box with bottle tops and a holder for pencils with a toilet paper roll. They enjoyed themselves. 

In Bible class, Teacher Jessica talked about Ananias and Sapphira with respect to the fact that God cannot be deceived. 

In English class, we practiced the words on the vocabulary flash cards.

Hoy les hablamos acerca de reutilizar desechos como botellas y tapas. Ellos confeccionaron una cajita con tapas y un recipiente del papel higiénico para guardar lápices. Se divirtieron mucho. 

En la lección biblica, Profe Jessica hablo’ sobre Ananias y Safira con respecto a que Dios no puede ser burlado.   

En la clase de inglés, practicamos las palabras en las tarjetas de vocabulario.

Today, in English class, Teacher Amy went over the Alturas rules again.

The kids played games and had a lot of fun.

In Bible class, we talked about the prodigal son and what happened to him.

Hoy, en la clase de inglés, Profe Amy habló de las reglas de Alturas otra vez. 

Los niños jugaron y se divirtieron mucho. 

En la clase de Biblia, hablamos del hijo pródigo y lo qué pasó a él.

In Bible class, we talked about knowing how to hear the Word of God. We used the verse “I have heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eyes see you”(Job 42:5). It is important to pay attention when God is talking so we can see Him and know Him really so that no one can deceive us.

In English class, we talked about parts of the body, and later about clothes vocabulary: socks, skirt, pants, and blouse.

En la clase bíblica, hablamos sobre saber escuchar la Palabra de Dios. Usamos el versículo “a oídas te había oído, más ahora mis ojos te ven.” (Job 42:5). Es importante prestar atención cuando Dios habla para que podemos verle y conocerle para que nadie nos engaña.

En la clase de inglés, hablamos de las partes del cuerpo y el vocabulario de la ropa: medias, enagua, pantalón y blusa.

Hoy sacamos a los niños a jugar al aire libre. Oramos y dimos gracias a Dios por la naturaleza. En inglés repasamos los nombres de las plantas y también repasamos las partes del cuerpo 

En la historia bíblica, hablamos de Jonás. Jonás huyó por no querer predicar a un pueblo, pero Dios hizo que un pez grande se lo tragara hasta que se arrepintiera y fuera predicar la palabra de Dios para que ese pueblo fuera salvo.

Today, we took the kids outside to play. We prayed and thanked God for nature. In English, we reviewed the names of the plants, and also we reviewed the parts of the body. 

In the Biblical story, we talked about Jonah. Jonah fled so he would not have to preach to a people group that he did not like,

but God made a whale to swallow him until he repented and went to preach the Word of God so that that people group would be saved.

We enjoyed playing with balloons. We sang and played outside.

In the Bible lesson, we talked about how Jesus died on the cross, and therefore, He paid for our sins. Afterwards, we used Play Do to make a cross to remember what Jesus did. 

In English class, we sang the song about the parts of the body: “head, shoulders, knees, and toes.”

Nos divertimos mucho jugando con globos. Cantamos y jugamos al aire libre. 

En la lección biblica, hablamos de que Jesús murió en la cruz y así El pago’ nuestros pecados. Después, usamos plasticina para confeccionar una cruz para recordar lo que Jesús hizo. 

En la clase de ingles, cantamos la canción de las partes del cuerpo: “cabeza, hombros, rodillas y pies.”

We played with plasticina and Jenga. Teacher Amy had a competition with vocabulary cards, and afterwards, she reinforced the pronunciation of the words. 

In the Bible lesson, we talked about Ananias and Sapphira’s lies, and that the payment for lying that time was death. Nowadays, a lie kills the soul because it grows, and afterwards, one cannot escape the consequences that the lie brings.

Jugamos con plasticina y Jenga. 

Profe Amy hizo una competencia con tarjetas de vocabulario en inglés y después, ella reforzó la pronunciación de las palabras.  

En la lección bíblica, hablamos sobre las mentiras de Ananias y Safira y que la paga de la mentira era la muerte esa vez. Hoy en día, una mentira mata el alma porque crece y después, uno no puede escapar de las consecuencias que la mentira trae.
