Hoy hicimos tarjetas muy lindas para dar a nuestros padres para el Día del Padre. Varios de nuestros niños no tienen padres y en Costa Rica, hay una costumbre que los niños dan una tarjeta a sus mamás no sólo para el Día de la Madre pero también para el Día del Padre (si no hay un papá o abuelo porque las mamás sirven una doble función).
La Profesora Amy nos enseñó una canción en inglés para recordar el amor de Dios y que tenemos que amarnos entre nosotros sin importar las diferencias. La profesora Damaris nos enseñó del amor de nuestro Padre Celestial y aunque nuestro padre terrenal nos falle o no esté presente, Dios no nos fallará ni nos abandonará!

Ademas, tuvimos una comida especial de "pizza" para celebrar las vacaciones de medio año y más tarde, tuvimos "donas" para el postre.

Today we made very beautiful cards for Father's Day to give our dads. Several of our kids do not have dads and in Costa Rica, there is a custom in the schools for the kids to give their moms cards, not only on Mother's Day, but also on Father's Day (if there is not a father or grandfather because moms serve a double function).
Teacher Amy taught us a song in English to remind us of God's love, and that we have to love each other regardless of our differences. Teacher Damaris taught us about the love of our Heavenly Father, and that even if our earthy father fails us or is not present, God does not fail us or abandon us!

In addition, we had a special meal of pizza to celebrate mid-year vacations and later for dessert, we had doughnuts.
