Hoy hablamos del rey Nabucodonosor y como Sadrac, Mesac y Abed-nego prefirieron creer a Dios y hacer lo correcto. Dios premió su fe y los cuidó, inclusive en el horno de fuego. Los niños comprendieron que aunque el diablo los quiera atacar tienen a Dios de su lado y no hay nada que los pueda lastimar.

Today we talked about King Nebuchadnezzar and how Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego preferred to believe God and do what was right. God rewarded their faith and took care of them, even in the fiery oven. The kids understood that although the the devil might want to attack them, they have God on their side and no one can hurt them.

El segundo sábado de cada mes además de nuestro programa de Alturas, transportamos a los chicos a nuestra iglesia donde tenemos nuestra reunión mensual con niños de la comunidad. Los niños compartieron, cantaron y recibieron la Palabra de Dios.

On the second Saturday of every month, in addition to our Alturas program, we take the kids to our church where we have our monthly kids meeting with the kids from the community. The kids shared, sang and received the Word of God.

Estamos viendo varios de los chicos mejorar mucho con su inglés. Pronto vamos a hacerle pruebas otra vez para ver cuánto han mejorado. Siempre hacemos tiempo también para disfrutar de las canciones cristianas (como “Padre Abraham”) que tanto les divierten a ellos y para hacer ejercicios. Nosotros enseñamos las canciones en español y luego en inglés.

We are seeing several of the kids improve greatly their English. Soon we are going to give them quizzes again to see how they have improved. We always make time also to enjoy the Christian songs (like “Father Abraham” in the video) that they enjoy so much and to do exercises. We teach the songs in Spanish and then in English.
