Seguimos enseñándoles el alfabeto en inglés, el cual muchos chicos tienen dificultad en pronunciar.

We continue to teach them the English alphabet, which many find difficult saying.

Esta semana quisimos contarles la historia de Abraham, a quién Dios le prometió que su descendencia será más grande que la cantidad de estrellas en el cielo. Y al mismo tiempo, quisimos enseñarles sobre nuestro Dios y Sus promesas.

This week we wanted to tell them about the story of Abraham, whom God promised that His descendants would be greater than the stars in the sky. At the same time, we wanted to teach them about our God and His promises.

12 de Setiembre

Semana a semana, hemos inculcado a todos los chicos la importancia de dar gracias a Dios por los alimentos que Él nos da!

Week after week, we have modeled the importance of giving thanks to God for all of the food that He gives us!

Con el tiempo, tuvimos la oportunidad de ver como nuestro grupo de chicos iba creciendo en hermandad y en número. Más tarde, tuvimos la oportunidad de poder agregar nuevos niños al proyecto.

Over time, we had the opportunity to see how our group of kids was growing in fellowship and in number. Later, we had the opportunity to be able to add more kids in the program.

Para nosotros es importante el proporcionarle alimento físico a cada uno de ellos, ya que es una de las razones por las que el proyecto inició, pero el alimento espiritual es parte esencial de su crecimiento como individuos.

It is important to us to give food to each of the children since this is one of the reasons behind starting the project, but spiritual food is an essential part of their growth as individuals.

Una parte importante del programa es el poder introducirlos al idioma inglés.  En esta oportunidad, jugamos el hacer letras con el cuerpo y mencionarlas en inglés.

One important part of the program is the ability to introduce the English language to them.  At this moment, we played by having them position themselves to symbolize the English alphabet letters and to say them as they made them.

Esta es una espada que hizo uno de los chicos para representar la Palabra de Dios. Les enseñamos que con la palabra de Dios podemos vencer el mal que hay en todo lugar.

This is a sword that one of the children made to represent the Word of God. We teach them that with God’s Word we can overcome evil that is everywhere.
