We prayed for the sponsors so that God would continue to bless them and for the kids and the food.
Today was a different and special day because today we asked the kids to come dressed according to the professions that they wanted to have. The outfits were of doctors, surgeons, veterinarians, teachers, policemen, architects, etc. Damaris presented each kid by the name of the respective profession: for example: Doctor Jeiko.
We ate breakfast and played a while having various competitions in teams. We had all the kids walk in their professional outfits.  All the kids said a little about their profession, and it was fun.
In English class, the kids practiced the names in English of their professions.  In Bible class, we talked about Christmas and in arts and crafts time, we made a reindeer because Christmas was almost here.

---

We welcomed the kids as they got off the minivan. We prayed in English and Spanish for our sponsors and for the blessing of having breakfast.
The kids ate our traditional Costa Rican food of “pinto con natilla,” which is a mixture of rice and beans and has sour cream.
We sang a song called “If my cup is full of love,” and the kids liked it a lot.
In English class, we sang “Baby Shark,” and practiced words with the letter “a” at the beginning of the word.
In Bible class, the lesson dealt with Christmas, and how God chose the virgin Mary to give birth to our Savior. We told them that God sent an angel to announce to Mary the good news and that Mary’s response was “Fulfill Your will in me.”
God was pleased with that answer, and we reminded them that obedience is always rewarded. In the arts and crafts activity, the kids made a Christmas tree and they liked it a lot.  Afterwards, we prayed for lunch and ate.

We prayed for the families and our sponsors. We ate and afterwards, we played games in teams, and the kids had a lot of fun. Amy and Damaris asked what each kid wanted for Christmas and reminded the kids that they had to pass their classes to earn their Christmas presents. We celebrated the birthdays like we do every month for the kids who had their birthdays that month. They love the day we celebrate birthdays!
In Bible class, we talked about Zacchaeus, and that he was a tax collector. When Zacchaeus met Jesus, he recognized that he had done wrong upon charging more than what he should have (in other words, Zacchaeus had robbed), and he promised they he would return what he robbed with interest.

---
